One day (December 13, 2007), He answered that prayer. I received bits and pieces over the years but clearly understood what God wanted me to realize that day. He showed me how I had dealt with rejection most of my life. He also showed me acceptance had been the payoff from that pain.
God showed me how I had been living to please humankind so that they would accept me, and I would, in return, not experience the pain of rejection. I saw my rejection as not being loved; thus, I was unhappy and had low self-esteem. Ultimately, I felt unloved; it led to seeking approval which led to pleasing-people. When I couldn’t please people enough to gain their approval, that led to eating, sleeping, watching television, working excessively, spending money, and being slothful.
The bottom line is that the way to my happiness was having people approve of me. When they did not, I feared man instead of God to get the happiness/love I wanted. Now I love helping my sisters open THE WINDOW INTO THEIR HEART to truly transform this life and future.
